The Creative Europe Desk KULTUR organises the online conference “Looking Ahead – New Opportunities and Visions within EU Funding for Culture after Covid-19” in the context of Germany’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The conference will bring together experts from Europe and focus on the support measures during and after Covid-19 but also on the new programme cycle, especially focusing on Creative Europe, Horizon Europe and the European Structural Funds.
2020 is a crucial year on the European level and that’s not only because of the Covid-19 crisis. The EU has to decide about its Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) for the upcoming 7 years and is striving to overcome the economic and social crisis. A lot has been said about the needs of the cultural and creative sectors in Europe but also its meaning for a culturally diverse and robust Europe. On the eve of the new MFF and on the occasion of the German EU council’s presidency, we want to talk about visions and how to use the moment of a crisis to think about new directions and concepts.
